Slow Aging By Eating Peanuts!

Yes, that's right, you can slow aging by eating peanuts.
You all have probably heard of “Resveratrol”, it's a flavonoid that is found in foods like- red wine, grape juice, and red skinned peanuts!
It helps protect the cells against age damage and also helps boost the flow of blood to the brain. Interestingly enough by just eating a quarter cup of peanuts will provide 100% of your niacin needs, which is a nutrient that has been proven to reduce Alzheimer's risk as much as 70%.

Snacking on peanuts also helps curb the appetite and aids in shedding pounds. Now don’t overdo it because of the calorie content in peanuts, but just eating 40 peanuts as a snack is equivalent to an ounce which is acceptable to just about any diet.
Peanuts are also a good source of protein and there is a variety to choose from.

I wrote this in June of 2014 for another site and am reposting it to my Blog. An oldie but a goodie, especially with summer upon us.

Effects Of Dementia

The Debilitating Effects Of Dementia

My dad suffered from Alzheimer's and dementia so I thought this small list could help those of you who know someone or perhaps a close relative has the signs.                 We all know someone who has dementia or the on set of it. Here are a few symptoms

They have fears and they might be starting to experience some of these signs:

They don’t remember who anyone is
They don’t recognize where they are
They don’t know where they live
They may think people are lying to them
They may start to accuse you and believe people are stealing from them.
The might even start to think that they lost their loved ones.

Why they feel this way?
They could have paranoia symptoms
They are forgetful
They can be disoriented
Or perhaps they aren’t sleeping well.

These behaviors are an indication that the person is in a mild to moderate stage of dementia
